Orange is fortunate to have a vibrant cultural life.

We have a wide range of fully-functioning, cultural bodies including a Regional Gallery, Library, Theatre and Conservatorium. Importantly, all these institutions are supported financially by the Orange Regional Arts Foundation.

So much for the present, but what about the future? Will the next generation place the same importance on maintaining and developing our beautiful city as a centre of artistic endeavour?

The Orange Regional Arts Foundation has actively addressing this challenge.

In 2012 the Foundation launched its Young Ambassadors initiative, an ambitious and far-reaching project to extend the Foundation's reach into the community while building a new, younger membership base to take a strong Foundation into the future.

Twelve vital enthusiastic younger members of our community have made a commitment to become our Young Ambassadors, calling themselves Pop Art Collective, and take the Foundation's message to the wider community.

The aim of the Young Ambassadors initiative is not simply to grow our membership, it also aims to raise general community awareness of the Foundation's important and wide-reaching role.

We want to encourage wider participation that will pave the way for a new generation that will have the ability and enthusiasm to take ownership of the Foundation's operations in the future.

The first Pop Art Collective event was held on 28th and 29th March 2014. It included an opening launch party, art exhibition and performances. Subsequent events were held at Factory Espresso in November 2014 and “Mayhem”, a live street art event held in May 2015. All events attracted new members.
